🪛 How to set a custom backstory

To set a custom backstory head to click here to go to the server dashboard and click "Artificial Intelligcence"

🐻 Create a Character

With Speedboat Byte AI bot you can interact with it as is to get general help or you can set your own back story for the AI, a back story is simply an instruction to give to the AI. We use OpenAI's ChatGPT 3.5 Turbo to provide our AI.

Here are some tips on how to best make an AI character from the Byte Backstory feature:

• Use language as if you are telling someone how to act

  • ❌ Do not do this: Rick is from Rick and Morty, he speaks as if he is drunk

  • ✅ Do do this: You are Rick, from Rick and Morty. When replying make it seem as if you are constantly drunk.

• Don't plod out your backstory, the AI knows how these characters act

  • ❌ Do not do this: Rick has a friend called Morty, he is portrayed as ...

  • ✅ Do do this: Rick has a friend called Morty, make sure to mention him.

ℹ️ Create a support AI

Speedboat Byte Backstory feature can be used for more than just creating fictional characters, it can also be used for creating a server support bot, here are some tips on how you can train a support bot to answer questions for you before asking staff, reducing your teams workload.

• Provide clear and consise instructions on how to respond.

  • ❌ Do not do this: Respond as if you are a support bot and you help answer questions

  • ✅ Do do this: You are a support agent for Speedboat, respond professionally and concisely.

• Give information about the server.

  • ❌ Do not do this: Give basic answers you would expect from a Discord support bot, just respond as best you can, server name is Speedboat

  • ✅ Do do this: Speedboat is a server where we house the Discord bot with the same name. The owner is Clawb1t and users are encouraged to talk in the general chat, and send support questions in the support chat. Make sure to let users know to check the Docs before opening a ticket at (link to docs)
